2) change config to add wtv files in library

3) change config to play wtv files with vlc player

Hi Josy,

Thanks for this tweak!
I managed to reproduce this, but had no luck with actualy play wtv files.

wtv-files are now shown in xmbc video library, and VLC starts, but crashes right after that. Result: XMBC freezes after trying to stop it.

Wich version OS X, XMBC and VLC are you using?

Thanks!
Pieter

hey pieter,

nice to hear you'r trying to play wtv files too!

i've used current stable installer of all components.
OSX Lion 10.7.2 (as shown in the post title)
vlc 1.1.2
xbmc 10.1

my ideas:
maybe you can try and check vlc player alone to see if the files are working?
@wtv files: i'v some SD and HD videos all recorded with windows 7 media center, both work fine.
(maybe access rights troubles?)
i've created a file-share on my recording-pc and connected my imac with the "connect server" feature.

cheers,
josy
